LG Electronics 24LJ4540-WU 24-Inch
It only does 720p, but what it does have in it's defense is that it sips power and is only using 12VDC from a wall adapter
Once calibrated this is such a bargain for both picture quality and sound. If you're not happy with the sound, get the roku streambar. At $100-135 this was a very good value
The frame of this one is white. It blends in with my white kitchen cabinets and quartz countertops. It also manages to fit perfectly atop the cable box
This tv is only 720 resolution but it suits my needs. Sound is good don’t need external speakers. Have to use remote to turn off and on but for just over $100 I expect that
The USB port is a "NON-Powered" port that will not play. jpg. mp3 or. mp4 files off of a memory stick. The picture is ok
The power adapter is a large "wall-wart" style making it extremely difficult to wall mount behind the TV. HDMI connector sticking straight out of the back of the set makes it nearly impossible to use a fixed wall mount
The only pro: good picture quality, good sound quality, and poor ambient sound quality. The TV makes an irritating noise/tone with each touch of the volume up or down button
There is about a 4" lag from the time you hit the on button to the picture appearing. Sound regulation is not good, so you may have the sound turned up to 100 and have to stand right beside the tv
The monitor turns on by itself no matter what setting I have it on... it's very creepy. The monitor keeps going back to STORE MODE! No matter how many times I play with the settings
720p HD resolution for a crisp picture. Direct-lit LED produces great picture quality. 60Hz refresh rate allows fast moving action scenes to be seen with minimal motion blur (120Hz effective rate) No smart functionality. HDMI, USB, HDMI and ATSC speakers.
5/5If you are looking for something for the kids bedroom or as a monitor for a non-gaming rig
It only does 720p, but what it does have in it's defense is that it sips power and is only using 12VDC from a wall adapter! I was very surprised to see that. It's ultra simple, there are no frills here. But if you are looking for something for the kids bedroom or as a monitor for a non-gaming rig where you can live without 1080p, give this some serious consideration. The audio was nothing to write home about, which should be expected at this price point. For my given application this TV was a great purchase for the price I paid. But if full HD is important to you, best look at another product. There are multiple picture modes and the contrast and colors change with the various modes from vibrant to more muted. It actually came with batteries for the remote. The setup was extremely simple. There are several different picture modes. There were multiple picture settings for the Remote Remote Remote Control and the remote control system. The TV is easy to control. It is not cheap to buy. It has no problem handling the 1080p signal. You can buy it for a few weeks without a hiccup. If I hadn't already rated this would have jacked it up
2/5Even with the volume ALL the way UP, you often cannot hear it
The TV is good for the price, but I'd rather spend a little more money to get a TV that can be operated with or without a remote. It's so hard to find a brand new white TV now, the manufacturer should work on the design and raise up the price. The only pro:1. good picture quality; poor sound quality; even with the volume ALL the way UP, you often cannot hear it properly and i have unusually good hearing. There is also something amiss with ambient sound quality, as it seems as if it is turned up way too far and it drowns out the important conversations. The dreaded feature is that the TV actually makes an irritating noise/tone with each touch of the volume up or down button!!! meaning that if you want to turn the volume down a lot, it tones repeatedly until you stop pressing the button. Also a default setting: every time you turn this TV on or off or goddess forbid you fall asleep with it on and then it turns itself off; it freaking CHIMES loudly (awakening your peaceful slumber) The pop-up windows that are a royal pain and often refuse to comply with your entered commands. The unit has a programing issue where after about 10months the
